Yes, the campsite has wireless internet. With every booking, WiFi for 1 device is free.
- Why should I choose a campsite on Ameland?
Enjoy sun, sea and sand at a campsite on Ameland. Camping Duinoord is located directly on the beach and has a central location on the island. So you can discover all the beauty that Ameland has to offer.

No, unfortunately it is not possible to bring your pet. Pets are not allowed on our premises.
- Can I come by car?
Cars are allowed on Ameland. You can park them in the central car park of the campsite for a fee or outside the campsite in the public car park.
- Until what time can I check in?
You can check in during reception opening hours. If reception is closed, you can go to the supermarket. Click here for the current opening hours
Camping
- Do the pitches have electricity?
Pitches with and without electricity connection are available at Camping Duinoord.
- With how many people can I camp at Camping Duinoord?
A large tent pitch can accommodate up to 6 people.
- Do I have to bring my own tent?
No, that's not necessary. If you don't want to bring your own tent, Camping Duinoord has the option of renting a furnished tent. You then only need to bring your luggage to the campsite.
Rental accommodation
- Is there a bathroom in the chalet?
Yes, the chalets are equipped with a bathroom and a kitchen. So you have everything you need.
- Can I rent a tent on the campsite?
If you don't want to bring your own tent, Camping Duinoord has the option of renting a furnished tent. You then only need to bring your luggage to the campsite. There is also the option of renting a chalet, rental caravan or tent house.
- Can I also rent a chalet at Camping Duinoord?
Yes, at Camping Duinoord you can rent a tent, chalet, caravan or tent house. So you don't have to bring your own tent.
- Do I have to bring my own bed linen for the Duynlodge?
Yes, please bring your own sleeping bag/quilt with bed linen. We also ask you to bring your own towels and kitchen linen.
Spending the night on Ameland
- Can I hire bikes at the campsite?
Yes, bike rental Kiewiet is located on the campsite. Here you can rent a bike for your stay on the island.
- Where can I camp in Nes on Ameland?
There are a number of campsites in Nes on Ameland. Camping Duinoord is located directly on the beach and in the middle of nature.
- Where can I find a campsite on the beach on Ameland?
Camping Duinoord is located in the village of Nes. The campsite is located directly on the beach. So you can enjoy sun, sea and sand from the campsite.
Route and crossing
- How do I get to the campsite from the boat?
If you come by car, you can drive directly to the campsite. Also, you can rent a bike, your luggage will be brought to the campsite. Buses and taxis are also available from the quay. These will take you directly to the campsite.
- How do I book tickets for the ferry to Ameland?
You can book your ticket for the crossing to Ameland via Wagenborg Passagiersdiensten.
- Can I take my car on the ferry to Ameland?
Yes, the boat leaves from Holwerd and your car can come along. Just make sure you book in advance and do not take the express service. No means of transport is allowed on the express service.
